《我们的生活》(This Is Us)，本剧讲述的是Jack和可爱的妻子Rebecca是最好的朋友。搬到匹兹堡后生了三胞胎，其中一个孩子未能成功分娩。在命运的安排下，同天出生的被遗弃的黑人婴儿进入了他们的视线，成了他们的养子。有趣的是Jack与孩子们同天生日。他们生活从此交叉在一起的故事。在本剧的开始S01E01中，Jack生日的那一天，Rec给他亲手制作了一个小蛋糕，还有一条毛巾作为礼物，正在Rec跳生日舞的时候，她的羊水破了，从开场直到Rebecca羊水破了之间的背景音乐是《Death With Dignity》。
