佐治亚海岸货船倾覆，4人失踪

Rescuers were searching for four crew members who went missing after a cargo ship overturned and caught fire off the Georgia coast, the U.S. Coast Guard said Sunday.

Trouble for the “Golden Ray” started early in the morning, when the 656-foot cargo ship listed heavily in St. Simon Sound with 23 crew members and a pilot on board.

The Coast Guard received an alert of a capsized ship at about 2 a.m.

Rescue crews were able to pluck 20 crew members from the doomed vessel, but Coast Guard and local agencies continue the search for the four who are still missing.

The cause of the mishap is under investigation, and it is unclear if churned-up weather from the recent passing of Hurricane Dorian played any role, according to Petty Officer 3rd Class Ryan Dickinson.
