背景知识与点评

·劳伦斯·彼得（1919—1990）是美国著名教育家和层级组织学家（hierarchiologist），他的名言是“每个员工都想爬到他力不能及的职位”（"in a hierarchy every employee tends to rise to his level of incompetence"）。他的这句话讽刺经济学家都是马后炮，而不是预言家。

·斯蒂芬·戈德费尔德（1940—1995）是普林斯顿大学经济学教授。他的这句话和罗纳德·科斯曾把西方20世纪初形成的主流经济学称为“黑板经济学”（blackboard economics）有异曲同工之妙，指经济学理论成立的前提条件过于抽象，不能解决实际经济（社会）问题。
