TUNE: BUTTERFLIES IN LOVE WITH FLOWERS
The wind blows willow down and cold weather away,
Fragrant pollen wafts far and near,
Red showers fall from day to day.
New wine adds to the drowse left over yesterday.
How can this spring decrease the regret of last year?
Whom to ask when gone are oriole and butterfly?
I gaze from the waterside tower high,
But no fish would bring letters here.
How annoying the autumn waves inch by inch appear!
The slanting sun only foretells night is near.
