TUNE: MY SHADED BOWER

At sunset on the Street of Red Birds did we meet;

We crossed the River Qinhuai on pleasure boat fleet;

You took off willow-down from hairpin with smile sweet.

Leaving your green-lit room, I come back to my bower,

Shaded by green plane leaves and red peony flower.

O could I but embrace you with moonlight in shower!

掩萧斋

落日逢迎朱雀街，

共乘青舫渡秦淮，

笑捻飞絮卷金钗。

洞户华灯归别馆，

碧梧红药掩萧斋。

愿随明月入君怀。
