TUNE: SONG OF GOOD EVENT
好事近
I’ve crossed the river in flying snow,
And moored my boat by the Bridge of Red Rails, so
I tell you with my sail nothing goes wrong,
And send you two hand-written lines not long.
From now on I’ll stay in South Tower from day to day,
And since then my hair will turn grey.
Who would write verse with me and share my cup of wine?
Can such life justify the books I’ve read line by line?
