TUNE: MORNING HORN AND FROSTY SKY
A shadow’s seen
Past window screen.
Who comes to pluck flowers from my trees?
You may pluck what flowers as you please.
I do not know
To whom they’ll go.
Those near the eaves
Are the best among green leaves,
To reach them you’d stand on tiptoe.
I tell you who pluck flowers: Don’t you know
You will look fair,
If you put them aslant your hair?
