《金错刀行》是南宋著名的爱国诗人陆游的诗作。全诗咏物言志，借赞美金错刀寓抗金报国之志。诗在用韵上是四句一转，与诗人情感表达的流泻起伏变化相适应，读起来抑扬顿挫。

黄金错刀白玉装，
夜穿窗扉出光芒。
丈夫五十功未立，
提刀独立顾八荒。
京华结交尽奇士，
意气相期共生死。
千年史册耻无名，
一片丹心报天子。
尔来从军天汉滨，
南山晓雪玉嶙峋。
呜呼！楚虽三户能亡秦，
岂有堂堂中国空无人！

Song of The Gold-Inlaid Sward
Lu You

Mine is a sword with gold inlaid,
With a hilt of white jade,
That through the window sheds its light
Into the dark, dark night.
I, a man with fifty years gone,
No feats of arms accomplished,
Sword in hand I stand alone
And look around me far ahead.
At the capital, my friends—
—First-water men everyone—
Pledged to chivalry and sworn
In life and death never to swerve,
Deem it a shame to leave no name
In the chronicles of history.
And single-hearted in loyalty,
We're set our Sovereign to serve.
I've been with the Army of late
From the banks of River Han,
Where th' morning snow of Mt. Zhongnan
Transforms the ranges into jade.
Alas! "If only three households
Were all that's left of the Chu State,
Still it would be Chu that'll vanquish
The now powerful State of Qin!"
So now, how could it be said,
That our noble Central Nation
Is left without courageous men?
