双语常用典故： make bricks without straw 做无米之炊

出自《旧约·出埃及记》5 章。有这样一段记载：从前以色列人常常给埃及人做苦力，为埃及人干和泥、制砖等粗活。古代埃及制砖是用稻草、贝壳、木炭等混合而成的。有一次，埃及法老要以色列人用和平时一样多的稻草制造出更多的砖（make bricks without straw）,以色列人终于被迫逃出埃及。
