Ethiopia Requires Eritrea Fulfil the Peace Agreement

Addis Ababa: Ethiopia says it will not withdraw troops from the areas they control in Eritrea unless that country honors(1) the terms of a peace agreement. That agreement signed(2) last month calls for Eritrea to re-deploy(3) its troops. The Ethiopian Defense Ministry says it is delaying its withdrawal of soldiers because of what it says are recent demands by Eritrea. Ethiopia says Eritrea now wants to discuss disputed areas along the poorly defined(4) border between the two countries. The border dispute was the cause of the 2-year war between the former allies. The war began in 1998.
