The picture above shows vividly what a Chinese Waste is．The waiter in the middle of the picture is pouring a whole dish of fish into a huge garbage bin with a sad expression and trembling arms．Behind him exists a well-decorated table with an uneaten duck and an unopened wine．With the guests gone，we are left with some food for thought．

Such kind of waste does harm to Chinese people both economically and spiritually．Though some parts of our country have developed a lot，there still remain people who live under poverty line．How can we order much more food than we need regardless of the limited resources？Besides，wasting too much keeps us from a balanced spiritual standard as well．We should pass on the traditional moral practice like being hardworking and economical from generation to generation．

Efforts from the government and the public are desperately needed to stop such a trend．As for the government，it should establish strict regulations to restrict waste or even fine those who waste food．As for the public，the restaurants may call on customers not to order so much and use some small gifts to cultivate a non-wasting atmosphere．In addition，it's the customers' own sense of saving resources that really works．I believe with combined efforts and everyone involved taking action right now，a more economical environment will be created and such a waste described in the above picture will never happen again．
