Nowadays，there exists a common phenomenon that a majority of teachers in a good number of schools employ PowerPoint when they give lessons．However，I'd prefer the conventional way of teaching．The following reasons are to support my idea．

First and foremost，the use of PowerPoint is bad for students' eyes．While we may consider it an advantage that PowerPoint makes it possible to present far more materials at one time，the screen giving off strong light might continually stimulates the eyes fixed on it to such an extent that they can easily get tired．Besides，the using of PowerPoint is conformed to certain circumstances．If we rely too much on PowerPoint for teaching we'll certainly be at a loss when there is a power cut or when the computer is out of order．We should also bear in mind that it's unfair for students from some parts of our country that the schools there are too poor to own primary teaching facilities，not to mention computers and screens．Last but not least，we students and the teacher may lose a sense of close connection if PowerPoint is too frequently involved in teaching．With the chance of teachers' writing with chalk reduced，the students can suffer a heavy loss that we won't be able to admire our teachers' handwriting，which reflects their respective personality in a visible way．

All in all，using PowerPoint while teaching does more harm than good．I insist that we should realize the advantages that the traditional way of teaching has over this relatively new one，and show more respect for that．
