相声

相声 （cross talk）是中国流传已久的曲艺形式之一，表演者使用诙谐的话语和尖酸的嘲弄，其目的是使听众捧腹大笑。在其形成过程中广泛吸取口技 （oral stunts）、说书 （monologue story-telling）等艺术形式的长处，以“说、学、逗、唱”为主要艺术手段。相声演员主要靠对话塑造人物形象，而不是依靠外部形象和形体动作。通过相声，表演者可以表达嘲弄统治者和鞭挞社会的黑暗面。作为一种家喻户晓的艺术形式，相声深受中国民众的喜爱，更是当今“春晚”中不可或缺的节目之一。

Cross Talk

Cross talk, one of the long-running folk art forms in China, aims to make its audience burst into laughter with humorous utterance and acrid mockery made by the performers. 相声的形式分为单口相声、对口相声、群口相声三种。单口相声，是一个演员表演的长短笑话。对口相声，是两个演员表演的，叙述人甲称“逗哏”，辅助对话的乙称“捧哏”。群口相声，是三个以上演员共同表演的，甲称“逗哏”，乙称“捧哏”，丙等称“腻缝”。一段相声一般由“垫话儿”——即兴的开场白（prologue）；“瓢把儿”——转入正文的过渡性引子；“正活儿”——正文；“底”——掀起高潮后的结尾四部分组成。中华人民共和国成立以后，新创作的相声也常有省略“瓢把儿”的。相声用艺术手法组成“包袱（punchline）”，表演当中成功地将包袱“抖响”使人们发笑。其技法有：三番（翻）四抖、先褒后贬、一语双关、自相矛盾、歪讲曲解、违反常规等数十种。每一段相声里一般含有四五个以上风趣幽默的“包袱”。语言、包袱和笑声是相声艺术的三大要素，三者缺一不可。
