Beijing will add 800 more barrier-free cabs to its taxi fleet in 2015 to better serve the city's disabled people and those with walking difficulties, transport authorities have announced.

交通部门发布消息称，北京出租车行业今年将新增800辆无障碍出租车，以便更好地为本市有残疾和行走不便的人群服务。

Barrier-free cab/taxi均可表示“无障碍出租车”，这一类出租车上一般都安装可旋转座椅(rotatable seat)，便于乘客上下车，同时，车内空间较大，可轻松放下轮椅。城市公共设施中，还有其他的无障碍设施，比如，无障碍电梯(barrier-free elevator)、无障碍出入口(barrier-free entrance and exit)，以及盲人专用道(blind-friendly sidewalk)等。

这些无障碍出租车一般实行电话预约(phone booking)方式运营，城区提前2小时，郊区县提前1天，为有特殊出行需求的人士服务。
