个人独资企业的英文表达是sole-proprietorship enterprise，和individual businesses(个体工商户)的区别在于必须要有固定的生产经营场所和合法的企业名称。

失业人员创办个人独资企业将能享受taxation reduction and exemption policies(税收减免政策)，吸纳失业半年以上人员的企业也能享受tax advantages(税收优惠)。那些依法缴纳unemployment insurance(失业保险)、不裁员或少裁员的企业将能获得unemployment insurance fund(失业保险基金)的支持。
