i got up at the crack of down this morning and met danielle for a day trip to beaar creek national park. it was a long drive--2 hours to get there and 2 hours back, but it was totally worth it. we arrived at 7:30 am so we had the whole day to explore.

今天一大清晨起床，和丹妮尔一起到熊溪国家公园一日游。虽然路程挺远的，开车来回各要两小时，不过我们完全不虚此行。我们7点半就到了，有一整天的时间可以慢慢探险。

the park is enormous with more than 300 km of trails. we grabbed our map, our bear spray and made sure we had emergency supplies just in case.

这座公园好大，有绵延超过300公里长的步道。我们带着地图和防熊喷雾剂，再检查其他以防万一用的紧急用品是否也都带齐。

we chose a route that would take us to the waterfalls, where we planned to eat lunch before heading back. we hiked along beautiful mountain terrain for about 3 hours before we reached our destination. we could hear the falls before we could see them--a great thundering roar of water. the falls were breathtaking. i could have stayed there all day.

我们选了一条可以通往瀑布的路，打算到那边吃完午餐再回来。走了3小时，沿途经过美丽的山区，终于抵达目的地，还没看到瀑

布就远远听到震.耳欲聋的瀑布声。瀑布美呆了,令人叹为观止，要我在那儿待上一整天都没问题。

danielle and i saw all kids of insects, squirrels, and birds. and we even saw a mother bear with her cubs on the side of the highways as we were driving home. we were very glad to be safe in our vehicle.

我和丹妮尔看到了各种昆虫、松鼠和鸟类，回家时还看到公路旁有只母熊带着小熊。幸好我们坐在车子里很安全，真是开心。
