① snatch猛然抓住(如夺刀、接球、抢皮包等)。

② grasp紧抓不放,掌握。
She grasped her father's arm in order not to be separated by the crowd of people. 她紧紧抓着爸爸的胳膊以免被人群拆散。
③ grab猛然抓住(比snatch粗鲁,不顾他人权利)。
The starving people grabbed whatever food they could get their hands on. 饥馑的人们只要能弄到手,随便什么食物都抢夺了过去。
④ seize (出其不意)猛然夺取、抓住。
The policeman seized the thief in the act of escaping. 警察一下子抓住了正在逃跑的小偷。
