① snatch猛然抓住（如夺刀、接球、抢皮包等）。

The thief snatched her wallet and ran away. 小偷猛地抢走她的钱夹跑了。

② grasp紧抓不放，掌握。

She grasped her father's arm in order not to be separated by the crowd of people. 她紧紧抓着爸爸的胳膊以免被人群拆散。

③ grab猛然抓住（比snatch粗鲁，不顾他人权利）。

The starving people grabbed whatever food they could get their hands on. 饥馑的人们只要能弄到手，随便什么食物都抢夺了过去。

④ seize （出其不意）猛然夺取、抓住。

The policeman seized the thief in the act of escaping. 警察一下子抓住了正在逃跑的小偷。
