Last time we learned a sentence pattern which is : It is important that S should do. 意思是：做某事很重要。主语从句that S should do中使用了虚拟语气，因为主句中含有important 这个形容词。In addition, "should" can be left out. 我们还引申出了一个句型，是：It is important to somebody that S should do. We should pay attention to the preposition "to", instead of not using "for".

【TRANSLATION 1】It is very important that we (should) follow the manufacturer's instructions.
【TRANSLATION 2】It is very important to us that the manufacturer's instructions (should)be followed.
【TRANSLATION 3】It is very important for us to follow the manufacturer's instructions
【TRANSLATION 4】The importance is that we (should) follow the manufacturer's instructions.
【TRANSLATION 5】We must pay attention to the importance (that) the manufacturer's instructions(should)be followed.
【喇叭】注意翻译3中的主语从句中使用be;翻译1和2的状语中使用介词to; 翻译3中的状语使用介词for.
【点评】第一句和第二句使用主语从句翻译，不同的是第一句中的主语从句使用的是主动语态，第二句中的主语从句使用的是被动语态。第三句使用动词不定式进行翻译，第四句使用表语从句进行翻译，注意含有表语从句的复合句中的主句的主语是importance的话，表语从句要使用虚拟语气，即谓语形式为：should + 动词原形， that不能省略，但是should可以省略。翻译5是使用同位语从句进行翻译，如果同位词是importance的话，那么从句中也要使用虚拟语气，即谓语形式为：should do. 在同位语从句中that 和should都可以省略。

【TRANSLATION 1】It is vital to her health that she (should) take this medicine.
【TRANSLATION 2】It is vital to her that this medicine ( should ) be taken for her health .

【点评】翻译1中我们可以看到状语是：to something. 那么我们可知，在这类句型中的状语可以是to somebody, 也可以是to something,但是to somebody强调的是人，而to something则强调的是物。如翻译1中强调的是“身体健康”这个状况，而不是“工作顺利”这个状况，而翻译2中强调的是“她”这个人，而不是强调“别人”。翻译方式同第一道习题。
