辨 析：
原译是典型的“死译”，“建议”和“死去”已很别扭，再加上“官僚般地”更不象话。原句和He died a heroic death.（他死得英勇/他像英雄一样壮烈献身。）结构上类似，但是结构类似的英语不一定能译成结构类似的汉语（所以人们常说翻译是一个再创造的过程）。其实，原句中的bureaucratic在结构上是death的定语，但在语意上确切地说却是原因，所以，原句可译成：由于官僚主义，这一建议未能被采纳。（当然，具体措辞可以视上下文而定，如“官僚主义枪毙了这一建议”类的译法也是可接受的。）
