据悉，中国人民币跨境支付系统(CIPS)将于年底前正式推出，预计最快将于9月或10月推出。CIPS的推出将促进人民币在国际支付中的使用。

It's being reported the China International Payment System to process cross-border yuan transactions may be launched this year.

据悉，中国人民币跨境支付系统预计今年启动，该系统能够促进人民币在跨境交易中的使用。

中国人民币跨境支付系统可以用China International Payment System(CIPS)表示，该系统旨在处理跨境人民币交易(process cross-border yuan transactions )，或成为全球范围内的人民币支付高速通道(a worldwide payments superhighway for the yuan)。

目前，跨境人民币结算(cross-border yuan clearing)要么通过在如香港、新加坡、伦敦的离岸人民币清算行(offshore yuan clearing banks)，要么通过与在中国内地的往来银行(a correspondent bank)的帮助。而CIPS的建立是很大的突破。

CIPS将降低交易成本和处理时间(cut transaction costs and processing time)，将有助于增加全球人民币的使用(increase global use of the Chinese currency)。

一位参与此事的高层银行业消息人士称，CIPS现已就绪，中国已经选定20家银行参与测试，其中13家为中资银行，其余为外资银行分支(subsidiaries of foreign banks)。预计最快将于9月或10月推出。
