Organizers of strip shows in rural areas will be severely punished in a campaign announced by the Ministry of Culture on Thursday to curtail the illegal performances.

文化部23日宣布将严厉惩治农村地区脱衣舞表演的组织者，坚决取缔这种违法演出行为。

脱衣舞表演就是strip show，也称艳舞，用来形容各种包含情色和性意味的舞蹈，在中国是违法的。文化部表示将intensify supervision of profit-oriented shows(加强对营业性演出的监管)和boost law enforcement in rural areas(提高农村地区的执法力度)。

文化部表示，脱衣舞这种非法表演disrupted the cultural market(扰乱文化市场秩序)，而且created a negative influence on the social environment(败坏社会风气)。文化部将严惩脱衣舞表演这种违法行为并hold culprits criminally accountable if they violate laws(并追究违法犯罪者的刑事责任)。
