31. She is under the weather

　　这天同事 Leslie没来上班， 另一个同事告诉我： “She is under the weather.” 我一时没能听懂，同事又重复了一遍，外加， “She is not feeling well.” 我不假思索地说： “噢，她有关节炎?”

　　同事看看我，说“我不太清楚。”这下我可糊涂了，明明是他告诉我的，怎么又说不清楚呢?待我晚上打电话给Leslie表示问候，提到白天的疑惑时，Leslie这才向我解释说， She is under the weather 是说她身体欠佳，可是和天气无关。
