    Today (27th), the Space Science Forum, a parallel forum of the 2024 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Meeting, was held in Beijing. The Einstein Probe satellite mission, led by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, has released the first images of its in-orbit exploration.

    The release of the first 11 images of the Einstein Probe satellite includes observations of objects near the center of the Milky Way, observations of the supermassive black hole M87, detailed observations of supernova remnants, and the satellite's first capture of a temporary source of X-rays.
    此次发布的爱因斯坦探针卫星首批探测图像共11幅,包括卫星对银河系中心附近天体的观测、对超大质量黑洞M87的观测、对超新星遗迹的详细观测,以及卫星首次捕捉到的X射线暂现源等。

    The Einstein Probe satellite is another space science satellite developed and launched by the Chinese Academy of Sciences following the "Wukong", "Mzi" and "Kuafu No. 1" and other satellites. It is like a cosmic celestial explosion "catcher", aiming to discover and explore the X-ray temporary occurrence and explosion of celestial bodies in the universe, and issue early warning to guide other astronomical equipment to follow up the observation.
    爱因斯坦探针卫星是中国科学院空间科学先导专项继“悟空”“墨子号”“夸父一号”等卫星之后,研制发射的又一颗空间科学卫星,它就像一个宇宙天体爆发的“捕手”,旨在发现和探索宇宙中X射线暂现和爆发天体,并发布预警以引导其它天文设备进行后随跟踪观测。

    Since the satellite was launched into orbit in January 2024, the two payload Wide-Field X-ray Telescopes (WXT) and Follow-up X-ray Telescopes (FXT) have obtained scientific X-ray observation data of several groups of cosmic objects during in-orbit testing and instrument calibration, and have detected 17 new temporary sources, 168 stellar flashes, and issued more than 10 global telegrams. Guided a number of international optical and radio telescopes and space X-ray observatories to carry out follow-up observations. The detected new transient sources have different origin types, such as tidal disruption stellar events, gamma-ray bursts, new magnetic cataclysmic variable stars, and new X-ray binaries, etc. The observation results have been highly recognized and paid attention to by international peers, and provide important guidance for the collaborative observation of domestic and foreign ground and space telescopes.
    卫星自2024年1月发射入轨以来,两台有效载荷宽视场X射线望远镜(WXT)和后随X射线望远镜(FXT)在轨测试和仪器定标期间获取了多组宇宙天体的X射线科学观测数据,已探测到新的暂现源17例、恒星耀发168例,并发布全球电报10余条,引导国际上多个光学和射电望远镜、空间X射线天文台开展了后随观测。探测到的新暂现源具有不同的起源类型,有潮汐瓦解恒星事件、伽马射线暴、新的磁激变变星、新的X射线双星等,观测结果得到了国际同行的高度认可和关注,为国内外地面和空间望远镜协同观测提供了重要的指引。

    In the next stage, the Einstein Probe satellite will continue to carry out and complete in-orbit tests in accordance with the established plan, strengthen domestic and foreign cooperation and open data sharing work, detect fleeting "fireworks" in the universe, and make a visual contribution to high-energy time domain astronomical observation and research.
    下一阶段,爱因斯坦探针卫星将继续按照既定计划开展并完成在轨测试,加强国内外合作和数据开放共享工作,探测宇宙中转瞬即逝的“焰火”,为高能时域天文观测和研究作出有显示度的贡献。
