    [04:05.66]Several years ago,
[04:09.34]I received a post card from a friend in Iowa, who wrote, "I am skiing with abandon!
[04:17.87]I wondered what he meant, because when I ski it is always with fear.
[04:26.69]I think he meant he was skiing skillfully, joyfully, peacefully and confidently.

[04:50.02]I believe that successful men and women
[04:55.45]have got some secrets of living life to the fullest.
    [05:01.72]First, you should have self-respect.
[05:07.37]This means believing in what you do and working hard.
[05:13.67]It means setting your own standards and not comparing yourself to others.
[05:21.44]It's not a question of being better than someone else,
[05:27.35]but being better than you thought you could be.
[05:33.36]Winston Churchill gave us a good example of self-respect despite criticism.
[05:41.82]When he was in his last year as the Prime Minister,
[05:48.37]he was attending an official ceremony.
[05:52.51]Several rows behind him two gentlemen began whispering:

    [06:05.44]"They say he should retire
[06:09.94]so that a more dynamic and capable man can run the country."
[06:16.67]When the ceremony was over, Churchill turned to the men and said,"Gentlemen,
[06:24.66]they also say he is deaf!"
[06:29.70]The second secret to living life to the fullest is to devote yourself to others.
[06:37.58]You should believe in others and take time to help them fulfil their dreams.
[06:44.71]If you help other people to turn their dreams into reality,
[06:50.69]your own future will be brighter.

[07:08.04]make them more sensitive and loving.
