1．电话英语小常识：

介绍自己或者单位的时候应用以下形式。如：

This is Pearl Restaurant.

It is Pearl Restaurant.

Pearl Restaurant.

This is Jane.

It's Jane speaking.

Jane speaking.

而不是说“Here is the Pearl Restaurant.”“I'm Jane.”问对方是谁时，可以用“Who's that?”来表达, 而不是

“Who are you?”

2．电话英语咨询：

在询问“您找哪位？”的时候，不要说“Who do you want?”因为这是很粗鲁、不耐烦的说法。正确的做法是自报家门，然后问“May I help you?”等对方说出他们需要与谁通电话。如：

Hello, Xinhua Restaurant, may I help you? 你好，这里是新华餐厅，我能帮您什么忙吗？

3．时间的英语表达法

英文的时间都可以直接用数字读出。整点也可以读成“时间数字 + o'clock”；半点钟也可以读为“half past + 时间数字”；一刻钟为“quarter”；超过整点（半小时内）可以读为“时间数字 + past + 时间数字”；接近整点（半小时内）可以读为“时间数字 + to + 时间数字”。如：

3:00 three/three o'clock

3:30 three thirty/half past three

3:15 three fifteen/a quarter past three

3:05 three zero five/five past three

3:55 three fifty-five/five to four
