Where the water-lilies go	一朵朵睡莲在水上
To and fro,	来去漂荡，
Rocking in the ripples of the water,	随着细浪轻漾，
Lazy on a leaf lies the Lake King's daughter,	湖王的女儿懒洋洋地躺在莲叶上，①
And the fait winds shake her.	微风把她摇晃。
Who will come and take her?	谁要来把她带走？

Keep still! Keep still!	别吵！别吵！
Sleeping on a leaf lies the Lake King's daughter ...	湖王的女儿正在莲叶上睡觉……
Then the wind comes skipping	风来了，蹦蹦跳跳，
To the lilies on the water;	跨过水上的睡莲一朵朵；
And the kind winds wake her.	温和的风把她唤醒，
Now who will take her?	谁来把她带走？
With a laugh she is slipping	她一笑就溜，
Through the lilies on the water.	穿过水上的睡莲一朵朵。
Wait! Wait!	等一等！等一等！
Too late, too late!	来不及喽！来不及喽！
Only the water-lilies go	只有睡莲一朵朵
